How to order

 

By placing any order, you signify that you will be bound by my terms and conditions.

Online

Most pages have their own price-list and order-form. Choose what you want and click on the 'Order' buttons. When you've finished, click on a 'Checkout' button. You can choose to pay with a plastic card or a PayPal account.

Post

Please enclose a cheque or postal-order payable to 'Chris Bell', arrange a bank transfer (see below), or request a PayPal invoice to be emailed to you. If ordering MDT or EGGring chainrings, please print and enclose your order-form.

Payment

All prices are in GB pounds. I am not VAT-registered so there is no UK tax to add or deduct.

I accept cheques and postal orders (payee 'Chris Bell'), PayPal (payee 'orders@highpath.net') and bank transfers (see below). Plastic cards are accepted by PayPal even if you don't have a PayPal account yourself.

Delivery

Items are sent by First Class post in the UK and by Airmail overseas. You will be asked to sign for valuable items.

A postal fee of £ 4.00 is added to most orders less than £ 150.00, wherever you live in the World. The exceptions are crank repairs and modifications, and cassette sprockets and components - these items have their own postage rates.

I normally post goods on Fridays and aim to send stock items within 7 days and EGGrings, MDT rings, other custom items and repairs within 28 days. There may be unavoidable delays during busy periods and holidays - please contact Chris to check the current situation. Urgent orders can sometimes be accelerated for an additional fee.

Returns

You may return unused items within 7 days of receipt, at your expense, for either exchange or refund (crank repairs and modifications excepted).

Guarantee

I will replace any item which I have supplied and proves to be defective in materials or manufacture within 12 months of its invoice date, normal wear and tear excluded.

 

 

Terms and Conditions

 

All customers
  1. You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time until its despatch (for stock items), manufacture (for custom items) or modification (for crank repairs and modifications).
  2. You may return unused items within 7 days of receipt, at your expense, for either exchange or refund. This condition does not apply to crank repairs and modifications.
  3. Although payment will be taken as soon as you place an order online, I reserve the right to refund you and decline the order.
  4. There may be a delay until you receive your goods, possibly a long delay for EGGrings, MDT rings and other custom items, and during busy periods and holidays.
  5. Crank repairs and modifications are undertaken at your own risk. I will take good care of your property and will endeavour to replace anything that might get damaged with a modern equivalent but I will not accept responsibility for consequential loss.
  6. Personal data will only be used to process your order and not for any other purposes.
  7. From a legal point-of-view, the point of sale will be the date on which the goods are despatched to you.
  8. All information, specifications and prices in my website and literature are given in good faith, but they must not be treated as a legal representation, term or condition of supply.
  9. Your statutory rights will be respected and I will endeavour to resolve any issues quickly and fairly, but English law will apply if a dispute does arise.
Extra terms for Canada and USA
  1. You indemnify Chris Bell, Highpath Engineering, partners, employees and sub-contractors against any claim arising from the manufacture, supply, repair and/or modification of goods, howsoever caused.
  2. Liability is limited to the price of the goods in GB pounds, as per their invoice, and no responsibility will be accepted for any consequential loss.
