Round or Oval, EGGrings are some of the very best chainrings that are made anywhere in the World. Every one is unique, individually milled to your specification. They are used by discerning cyclists all over the World (including several famous ones!) and I can make them for you too...

An EGGring was used on the Burrows / Boardman gold-medal Olympic 'Superbike' and exhibited in London's Science Museum and Millenium Dome. And they have been used by other Olympic gold-medallists and famous round-the-World tourists too.

Details

Full-profile teeth for better chain engagement and long lasting chainrings.
Taller teeth on 'single' rings reduce the chances of your chain jumping off.
Front derailleur shifts aided by an inner chamfer and shift-gates in the teeth.

A catch-pin on 'outer' rings stops the chain jamming if you over-shift.

Standard EGGrings are carefully designed to balance strength and lightness:

Other cutouts are available from lightweight to solid, for all 4 types. Or I might even be persuaded to cut your own custom design - there are some examples of custom cutouts in the photos at the top of the page.

Finish

Standard EGGrings are untreated, the alloy being left in its plain, natural state. Black and polished finishes cost extra.


Plain The alloy may tarnish in time, but this doesn't affect its strength.		Black A polyester coating is applied before machining. The machined teeth stand out in contrasting silver.		Polished The chainring is hand-polished to a mirror finish.
